NSW BRANCH CASUAL VACANCY ELECTIONS

At the recent round of elections for the Branch Council of the NSW Branch of ASMOF ten (10) Branch Councillor positions were left vacant out of a total of eighteen (18) possible positions.

ASMOF has arranged for the AEC to run elections for these vacant positions.

The nominations for these positions may be made from Monday 22 June 2009 until Monday 13 July 2009 at 10.00 AM.

It is important that these vacancies are filled as the NSW Branch Council now also consitutes the State Council pursuant to the current rules of the State Union.

We encourage our members to nominate to ensure that the council reflects the broadest range of representation possible so ASMOF can effectively fight for all our members' rights.

Attached below is an election notice issued by the AEC and a nomination form.

You can either send a completed nomination form to the AEC directly or fax or e-mail it to ASMOF to the contacts below and we will forward it to the AEC.
